NEW YORK, NY (03/18/2005) — ROCK N’ ROLL IS NOT DEAD!!! LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!!!
New York Rock Goddess Queen V returns with a triumphant new album! The full-length CD will be available Thursday April 7th, 2005 and features as it’s theme, Self Empowerment and a return to Real Rock N’ Roll.
Inspired by the success of artists such as Prince and Ani Difranco, V has eschewed the traditional and conventional avenues and opted instead, for an independently funded and released album, which afforded her complete creative control. The collaboration with producers Phil Schmoll and Tony Lewis (Royal Noise Productions, formerly of Sky High Records) has resulted in a stellar lineup of hard driving rock songs with no compromise.
Says V, “It was important to deliver the intensity that the fans have come to expect of me. I just didn’t want my music to become watered-down by businessmen who only care about the bottom line.”
Guest musicians include Steve Stevens (Billy Idol) and Tristan Avakian (Lauryn Hill & Trans-Siberian Orchestra).
The full-length album will be available at Queenv.com, CDBaby.com, iTunes.com, dozens of online download outlets and select retail stores nationwide.
Queen V has been performing on the NYC rock scene for the past 5 years. Her first EP “Critical” was released in 2003 and caught the attention of lead guitarist Steve Stevens, who invited her to open for Billy Idol on his North American tour last year.
